Viking Instruments is a division of Viking Aviation, Inc., a corporation registered in the state of Texas. We import and sell the T.K. Melody brand of saxophones.

When I visited Taiwan in the fall of 2007 I visited with the company that manufactures these saxophones, and I liked their products so much we made an agreement right away for me to import and sell their products in the US. These are high quality, professional level instruments. One of the problems in the saxophone market today, is that there are too many unserious producers who are only interested in a quick profit and don’t care about the product quality and customer satisfaction. About T.K. Melody

The T.K. Melody saxophones are produced by Yu Jo Instruments, Inc. in Taiwan (R.O.C). It is a family owned and operated company, and they have been in the instrument manufacturing business for over 60 years.

It was the grandfather of today’s owner and CEO who started the company in 1948. He worked in a metal shop when he started experimenting with various alloys to find out which would give the best sound and resonance. The locals in the village gave his shop the nick name Tai Kuan, and soon people started talking about the melodies that came from that little metal shop; hence the Tai Kuan Melody, or T.K. Melody brand was born!

Originally they produced instruments for the OEM market only, and have supplied many of the famous brands with products for the last 60 years. In 2007 they decided to introduce and market their own brand, and of course, the brand name they chose was T.K. Melody.

The company is still wholly owned by the family, and every product is hand made and/or had finished before it is shipped out to the customers. Quality and Customer Satisfaction are the two main driving forces for everybody who works there.
